Photography By Taz...
This assignment is slightly different from the norm. This assignment was given to us (my class) to bring out our creative side which will help us when we need to retouch photos. We were given a pencil outline of Taz (digital of course) and the color key to paint him, according to Disney requirements (see first picture above). Then we were instructed to place Taz in a unique environment created by us (each individual student) using photoshop. I have placed Taz on the grounds of OIP&T (Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology), the school I attend. All elements in the photo were created individually. Excuse me for not mowing the lawn digitally, Taz like it on the wild side. Enjoy!!

For The Man....
The Master has for me:
I wish you were my Valentine
Though I may not be yours,
And I may, in my ignorance,
Be speaking to closed doors.
I have no inkling of your heart,
No hint what you might say;
But when I think of you the sun
Will just not go away
There is in you a loveliness
That makes my darkness shine,
And so I'll wait, if wait I must
To be your Valentine.

Brightfield
These images were shot with a technique which is known as brightfield, this is where the object is lit from the rear. These glasses as well as the ones below were shot using a 4 x 5 view camera ( like in the westerns were the photographer is under a black cloth behind the camera, and when he captures the image it is upside down on the camera's ground glass). I never imagined I would use photography equipment that had been used in the "old days" (lol).

Winter Storm 2009
On Jan 28th we were hit with a winter storm that dropped 10+ inches of snow overnight not including the snow we received the day before. I believe the total was somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 inches. I was home recovering per doctor's orders until today, Monday Feb. 02 so I took these pictures from my front door and could not resist posting.
